This sounds interesting, and I wish you good luck!
I think this might be the kind-of site where my articles would fit well, so I'm hoping you might open it up for contributions in the future.
One thing I'd recommend is taking more advantage of this newsletter to promote the new site's content. So, in addition to updating subscribers about the site's progress, when a new article comes out on All the Fanfare, you could publish a post here with a link to the new piece and some additional commentary.
Additionally, given how many articles are coming out on Medium Fanfare, I think you should consider posting recommended links to them in some of your newsletters as well. Like, do some curation to highlight what you think are the best or most interesting works. I know you mention that this publ-n has nothing to do with Medium Fanfare, but I think it would be an easy way to generate newsletters and potentially attract more subscribers.
Thanks for the comments! I will definitely be plugging everything related to All the Fanfare here, including any articles published. No fear on that account.
I did experiment with promoting articles on Fanfare (Medium) on this newsletter because it makes a lot of sense. But in practice, nobody clicked on any of the links. So I'd rather put time toward things that move the needle.
Like I mentioned the other day, "The 'Wait But Why' of pop culture" is one heck of an elevator pitch. I'm excited to see where this takes you (and all of us)!
Awesome! I applaud the push against the AI-driven deluge of content and an intentional effort to make sure every piece is thoroughly researched. It's not the easy way, but I think intentionally embracing the hard things that take time is a vital part of humanity that we're going to lose as AI takes over.
Great news!
Splendid news. I wish you all the very best, and hope to be head hunted to contribute. :)
I can guarantee it. :)

Sounds super fun! Best of luck!
Sounds cool. Good luck with the project! I look forward to seeing how it develops.

Your skittles analogy is very apt. And I bet Rutger Hauer’s replicant character ate all the skittles he could murder-steal from The Man.
Can’t wait to see how your venture plays out!
Go Eric! Great dream, great idea. Wishing you the best of luck. You got my follow!
Sounds interesting! I look forward to reading your new content.
Pop culture is everything. :D
