I've had a theory for a while that humans aren't meant to live past 40. When you reach the age where you hurt yourself getting out of bed or just moving wrong, every day you're above ground is a day you're spitting in the face of death.
I had a birthday last week, got a belated present this week with what I feel is the true marker of moving from my early 40's to my mid 40's; a colonoscopy.
