You’re not alone in keeping the Firefly fire alive! My husband has a whole company named after Wash, with samples of the cards he makes named after Firefly characters, and posters of the characters on the wall! He gets people asking him about it all the time! Hobancards.com is the website if you want to look! Not trying to sell you something, just seems like you might appreciate it :)
I haven't actually seen Ahsoka but I've been keeping up via recaps, and everything I'm reading suggests I'm probably going to enjoy it more than others. Just a question - isn't Baylan's lightsaber orange? Or does that depend on the color settings of one's screen? Like, the footage I've seen made it look orangey, which to me was a visual sign that he's not Sith/evil.
Baylan's lightsaber looks red to me. Red enough, anyway.
Curious why you expect you'll like it based on the recaps? In my experience, people either love it or hate it. And then there are people like me, who want to like it but find it mostly frustrating.
The love it or hate it response is exactly what I feel as well. This is a polarizing series. But some of the critiques I've read, like those by Jen on The Long Take Substack, indicate that there is stuff here that really appeals to me like the heavier emphasis on mythology and lore, or the cultural references coming into larger focus. I mean, I don't know for sure, but I feel like I'm predisposed to liking it. We'll see.
Our likes/dislikes are very similar on Ahsoka. You've summed up my feelings, including the "not great star wars still beats no star wars" bottom line haha

This is incredible!! Glad I'm not the only one keeping the torch burning. These cards look amazing. :)
Thank you!

Mythology and lore is the one thing it excels at. Character, plot, and pace: not so much.
Thanks for the plug!

Very happy to see Paul here!
Very not happy to see passenger 57 do so badly on the survey. OTOH, it tied with Tango & Cash, so maybe game recognizes game? I dunno.
I'm definitely going to write about Passenger 57 at some point, whether people like it or not. 😀
Paul's really spreading his wings now...
