I had no idea you got into Deadwood! We'll have to compare notes next time I see you. How far are you into the show? Have you met the tit licker yet? LMAO
I've been reading 'The Deadwood Bible' and apparently David Milch was concerned about casting McShane in the role, as he found his take on Swearangen too charismatic. This guy was supposed to be a villain but McShane made him really likable for the audience. He initially preferred Powers Boothe before creating Cy Tolliver for him.
Triple D! Your daughter has good taste. I don't care what peeps say, Guy Fieri is a good Guy and he recommended some great places on that show which I wound up visiting and enjoying. He even inspired one of his fans to establish their own resto called Flavortown. He does a lot too to help out whenever there is a crisis such as when food industry workers were especially hard hit during the pandemic.
I'm on the fence about if we should let you keep your Olyfanclub founding membership card. J/k you're like professor emeritus status, so we'll let you keep it! For the time being...
Apart from THE OFFICE and PARKS AND REC, the first 4 seasons of NEW GIRL that I probably watched the most. After that, it became nearly unwatchable, though.
Deadwood has been my new binge and big Al is by far my favorite character! In fact, perhaps my one of my top 5 favorite characters ever.

Deadwood is in my top 5 of TV shows. Love it.
Oh yes! I’ve had conversations about how Al could be a great dnd character too!
Lol yes! Super weird! 😅
Love Parks but they jumped the shark when they headed to Washington. Became far less interesting.
True. Just like The Office became less-good once Michael left. Still enjoy it though.

For comfort watching I like:
French Ligue1 or 2 soccer
Air Disasters
Mighty Ships
And if I can find it, Barney Miller.
For HGTV stuff, I like "Love It or List It," mainly because I love watching the hosts bicker with one another.

Deadwood is an excellent choice. I also like What We Do in the Shadows and True Blood. I like vampires apparently.
