Jon Bernthal is so good. First saw him in The Walking Dead, and then The Punisher, but then he also did Wind River, which is a bit of a gut-punch movie if you can handle it, but so good. I'm not sure if I can handle The Bear, I might have trauma flashbacks from my years working in kitchens to support myself during and after the first time I went to university lol

Bernthal is also a great cryer. Like he somehow makes it look cool or something. I just love watching him work.

The Bear is basically nonstop stress and people yelling. It's good, but I could see how it would be triggering.

I tried to explain the magic of Monaco GP arcade game to my kids, ad well, you can probably guess how that went.

A coworker and I are watching S3 of The Bear one episode at a time on our lunch break. Sometimes, we have to spilt it into 2 days. Doing it this way is both madening and fun.

Monaco GP was a great game! I played it again recently and thought it held up pretty well. Kids these days lol ...

Give S2 some time. Each season starts off slow before really revving up midseason.

House of the Dragon is tough at the end of a long day. Sometimes all the dead dragons and child murder is a bit much to take on and I just want to watch a few episodes of Parks and Rec and go to bed.

Silent films are a great example. I've been told for years what a masterpiece Metropolis is, but I can never get through it. I've had similar experiences trying to share old school 80s fantasy novels. No one is going to think Dragonlance is cool if Game of Thrones was their intro to the genre.

I'd also say the clock is ticking on the original Star Trek series and even the original Star Wars trilogy (ducks preemptively)

RE: Dragonlance. It hasn't aged very well. I re-read the original trilogy a few years ago and was shocked at the prose. It was just bad. Still a great adventure though. RIP Sturm Brightblade, you were too pure for this world.

As someone who has been full time work from home for over 9 years, you have to occasionally get out of the house before you go crazy. Generally I try to either have lunch a friend, or I just go get lunch and I'll go to the book store or the record store or both, or go to the grocery store and get something for breakfast on Saturday. Usually on Thursday afternoons I'll walk up to the coffee shop by my house to finish up Death Star HR.

I've thought about taking my laptop and working out of the house more. But I just really like having two monitors .

I get lunch with friends 1-2 times a month, and sometimes go out with my wife. But otherwise, I'm sorta shackled to my desk.

Sometimes I take the laptop out to the porch tho, and even that little bit helps. But yeah, I miss the full experience of 2 monitors, mouse, and keyboard. I feel like 50% less productive.

Lol...blowing game cartridges! It's the accumulated dust man! My old Atari 800 had a cassette deck for loading certain games and it was SENSITIVE! I legit had to leave the room for 15 mins while Football Manager loaded or Epic Summer Games 1. The sheer disappointment to sneak in early and the game failed to load...painful.

I always liked sports games the best when I played with consoles. I'll have to see if I can download the Tecmo games to fill dull hours.
