Agreed on The Last of Us. It has such excellent characters, writing, and performances that it’s hard not to opt in. But. Seeing hope and humanity drain away on the screen given what we’re experiencing day to day is…a lot. You’re the second person who has championed Trying! Thanks for the nudge and the promise of a television hug because: see above comment.
THE LAST OF US is one of the best shows. It mingles normal stuff
(teens not talking to their
parents) with sci fi of a plausible nature (mutants from a virus) with a foreseeable future after trump destroys all the stuff that will save us, possibly. Nice character development too.
I agree that season 1 was even better than the game but I feel like this will be hard to achieve for season 2. So much of the story and message relies on the game mechanics of playing both as Joel / Ellie and Abby in Part 2 that I'm still curious to see how they managed this on screen. I know the creators already mentioned they switched around a few things so that it would work better for TV. So let's see!
I really need to start Trying. It might be a good balance to the more depressing world of The Last of Us 😅

PS. Pitt and Clooney are so overrated. They just make A movie to have pocket money.

You should play Last of Us 2. It's excellent.
