I write about Star Wars a lot, though it’s not really intentional. Sometimes I find myself dwelling on something Star Wars related and realize there’s probably a story in it. It’s sort of like the Force, actually.
Luke Skywalker: You mean it controls your actions?
Kenobi: Partially, but it also obeys your commands.
Recently, I’ve started questioning whether or not I’m just repeating myself endlessly and in slightly-different iterations, to the point of ad nauseam. And to that, I naturally thought: You know what, I’m going to write even more Star Wars!
So I’ve decided to run a little experiment here on the newsletter. I’m going to write one Star Wars related story every day for the month of February. Why February?
It’s the shortest month
It’s my birthday month
Sending everyone 28 Star Wars stories in 28 days might be overkill, so I have carved out a section on the newsletter for this. I have not carried over any of my current subscribers. If you want to receive these stories, you must opt-in. I don’t want to abuse my inbox worthiness. (This scene from Seinfeld randomly popped into my head because this is the way my mind works.)
Current Subscribers:
To opt-in, go into Manage Subscription and flip ‘A Month of Star Wars’ to on.
New Subscribers:
2. Once you are subscribed, you too need to go into Manage Subscription and flip ‘A Month of Star Wars’ to on.
I understand if you don’t want your inbox buried in theories about the color of food in Star Wars or what that bell ringer was up to in Andor. That’s why I’m having everyone opt-in for this insanity (this is not a test or initiation, but it comes to me that it could be). Or you can check out the page whenever you think, “You know what I need right now? Eric’s thoughts on some obscure corner of Star Wars.” As one presumably does, otherwise what are you all doing here?
The stories are free, per usual.
I honestly don’t know what these stories will entail. I’m going in with zero ideas and no real expectations. I probably will write about the food coloring thing, because what is that about? And maybe that bell ringer. But the other 26 stories? No idea.
It will be interesting.
